The sudo
command allows you to run commands as other users, by default root
. It's often used to alter privileged parts of a computing environment, such as installed software.
In the Next Sandbox, your default user is nt-user
("Next Tech user"), but you have full sudo
access! However, keep in mind that currently software installed outside of your ~/workspace
directory is not persisted, so don't be surprised if you come back and find what you've installed to be missing.
You can learn more about how this is usually addressed here.
