Creating a Vue.js Project
The Vue.js stack comes with the Vue CLI (vue) installed which allows you to quickly create a new Vue project:
1
vue create hello-world
Copied!
Next create a file named vue.config.js in the hello-world project folder with the following contents:
1
module.exports = {
2
devServer: {
3
host: '0.0.0.0',
4
disableHostCheck: true
5
}
6
}
Copied!
Once created, the Vue webserver can be started by running the following command:
1
cd hello-world
2
yarn serve
Copied!
To view the project, open a Web Browser tab and enter localhost:8081 in the URL address bar. You can also configure the starting browser URL to localhost:8081 so that Web Browser tabs open to this URL by default.
